Our chosen route will be 957 miles and almost 100 miles per day for 10 days straight. Here's a brief breakdown of our route...
Day 1, Thursday 4th September 2014 - John O'Groats to Evanton, 103miles, taking in the far North East coast of Scotland, over Dornoch Firth bridge and along Cromarty Firth.
Day 2, Friday 5th Sep - Evanton to Glencoe, 99miles, cycling along Loch Ness down through Fort William and stopping at the picturesque Glencoe for the night.
Day 3, Sat 6th Sep - Glencoe to Barnbrock, 92miles, passing through Loch Lommond reserve and along the banks of the famous loch, down past Glasgow over the Clyde bridge then through to south of Paisley for another camp spot.
Day 4, Sun 7th Sep - Barnbrock to Annan, 99miles, passing through the West of Scotland around Kilmarnock down to Dumfries then stopping in Annan.
Day 5, Mon 8th Sep - Annan to Windermere, 75miles, passing the famous town of Gretna Green and the Scottish/English border near Carlisle, then onto the Lake District cycling along the beautiful Ullswater and Windermere where our camp will be made for the night.
Day 6, Tue 9th Sep - Windermere to Tarporley, 98miles, travelling the North West of England past Blackpool, Blackburn, Bolton, Manchester and Liverpool.
Day 7, Wed 10th Sep - Tarporley to Drybrook, 114miles, passing through Shrewsbury on the English/Welsh borders down to Hereford along Ross-On-Wye.
Day 8, Thu 11th Sep - Drybrook to Taunton, 95miles, travelling to over the old Severn Bridge into England, around Bristol over the Clifton suspension bridge, through Cheddar Gorge, stopping at Wookey Hole and then onto Glastonbury for the overnight camp.
Day 9, Fri 12th Sep - Taunton to Liskeard, 100miles, going down to Taunton, then onto Exeter before cycling through Dartmoor then onto Liskeard.
Day 10, Sat 13th Sep - Liskeard to Lands End, 72miles, taking in the final sights of Lostwithiel, St Austell, Truro, and Penzance before finally reaching our goal, Lands End.
